Rihanna was looking in fine form as the much anticipated “Glow in the Dark” tour continues to get underway - stopping at the HP Pavilion in San Jose on Saturday.

With Kanye West headlining, the Good Girl Gone Bad worked her stuff as the opening act. Also on the tour are up-and-comers Lupe Fiasco and N.E.R.D.

If fans were not star struck before they saw pop singer Rihanna, they certainly will be now.

The R&B artist revealed her latest tattoo to eagerly awaiting fans in New York, a collection of stars plunging down her back.

It took a collection of police and bodyguards to keep fans at bay after the singer visited one of her favourite tattoo parlours.

The singer, who has only just turned 20, already has four other tattoos - a music note on her ankle, a Pisces behind her right ear, a star inside her left ear and a Sanskrit prayer going down the hip.

Rihanna says she can’t date singer Chris Brown, because he is like a brother to her.

The ‘Umbrella’ singer, who sparked rumors she was involved with the ‘Gangsta Boo’ star after they were seen on holiday together earlier this year, insists she doesn’t think of him romantically.

She said: “We are best friends, honestly, like brother and sister. I won’t say that we’re just friends - me and Chris are really best, best friends.”

“We both started our careers around the same time. He is one of the only people in the industry that I trust and hang out with all the time. If he was a boyfriend, I would say that.”

Chris also confirmed he has no interest in pursuing a relationship with Rihanna, saying: “People keep asking me, ‘What’s the deal?’ I’m like, ‘There’s no deal. No deal.’ We’re just friends.”

“At our age, I think you should be yourself and see as many girls as possible!”

First Chris Brown dismissed rumours that he was dating Rihanna, and now the singer herself has spoken out, denying that she and Chris are an item, saying: “We are best friends, honestly, like brother and sister.”

“I won’t say that we’re just friends – me and Chris are really best, best friends,” the 20-year-old star told MTV News at Saturday’s Kids’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles.

The two singers have been the subject of a flurry of rumours about their relationship, after photographs were published of them spending time together.

Rihanna’s new tour may be titled A Girls’ Night Out, but perhaps it should be renamed to The Do-Gooders’ Night Out.

The 20-year-old Grammy-winning songstress has revealed how she plans to use her star power with a few US dates to benefit her charity, The Believe Foundation.

“When I was young and I would watch television and I would see all the children suffering, I always said when I grow up, I want to help,” she told People.com after performing at Chicago’s Vision nightclub.

“Not long after, I was in the position where I could help. I started to visit all these children’s hospitals and I have a soft spot for kids. I just want to help and make sure they are happy. They can come to a Rihanna concert or have toys or gifts at Christmas.”

The charity helps children who are less fortunate - by providing medical attention, school supplies to kids in poorly funded schools, toys and clothes.

“As a kid, the thing I hated most was disappointment, so I never want to disappoint kids,” Rihanna added.

“I always want to put a smile on their faces. Kids are the future.”
